Tamalaki Community Organization Rire Mekongga and DPD LIRA Appreciate the Legal Counsel of Perumda Aneka Usaha Kolaka

KOLAKA, WN—Organization Tamalaki Rire Mekongga and the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) People’s Information Center (LIRA) Kolaka appreciate the legal steps taken by Perumda Aneka Usaha Kolaka’s attorney by reporting alleged slander and defamation to the Regional Police of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).

According to Perumda Aneka Usaha Kolaka legal representative Andri Alman Assigaf, according to the Tamalaki Rire Mekongga Mekongga Zuljin Saputra mass organization and DPD NGO LIRA Amir Kaharuddin, they see it as a constitutional effort in the rule of law to objectively examine various accusations that develop in the public sphere, while maintaining the honor of personal and institutional dignity.

According to DPD LIRA Amir, the case regarding Perumda Aneka Usaha Kolaka since last year from the end of the district to the provincial capital has been voiced and reported to law enforcement officials, and if today there are still unanswered parties regarding Perumda Aneka Usaha Kolaka, clarification should be made personally to the law enforcement officials who received the report.

“So Perumda should no longer be “barked” because it could reduce the purity of those aspirations,” he said.

Amir emphasized that every accusation that develops must be tested through a valid legal mechanism, so that it does not develop into a wild opinion that could potentially damage someone’s reputation without any basis.

“When an issue has entered the legal process and has even come to the attention of law enforcement officials, then the room for proof is in the realm of law, not solely in the realm of public opinion,” stressed Amir.

He said that as Chair of the DPD LiIRA, together with Zuljin as the Tamalaki Rire Mekongga mass organization, this issue was of the opinion that the issue directed at Perumda Aneka Usaha Kolaka at this time had, in principle, been included in the official supervision mechanism, either through a process handled by law enforcement officials or through an audit process by the Financial Audit Agency (BPK).

Therefore, according to him, if there are parties who still have questions or objections regarding this issue, then these should be directed to institutions that have the authority to carry out objective examinations and assessments.

“If a problem is already in the examination room of official institutions such as law enforcement officials or state auditors, then sound logic should encourage all parties to wait and respect the results of the process,” said Amir

He continued that the Perumda Aneka Usaha Kolaka issue had been voiced from the end of the district to the Province. DPD LIRA and the Tamalaki Community Organization, Rire Mekongga, considered that continuously repeating the same issue in the public space without referring to the official examination process actually had the potential to obscure the substance of the problem.

He said that it is feared that dynamics like this will actually move further away from the initial spirit of community aspirations which should be aimed at seeking clarity and certainty regarding an issue.

“Don’t let public aspirations, which are actually an instrument of social control, turn into a prolonged polemic that circulates in the opinion space, while the clarification process is actually already on the path of institutional authority,” stressed Amir.

He said that the Tamalaki Rire Mekongga and DPD LIRA mass organizations invited all elements of society to maintain regional conduciveness and respect the ongoing legal process.

“So we hope that law enforcement officials and state auditors can work professionally, transparently and proportionally so that the truth about this issue can be revealed objectively and provide certainty for the public,” he concluded. (**)
