Trash Becomes a Blessing, Cangkuang Wetan Village Residents Harvest Profits from the Waste Bank

District Bandung, Konntroversinews | Residents of Cangkuangwetan Village, Dayeuhkolot subdistrict, Bandung regency, have directly experienced the economic benefits of independent waste management. Cangkuang Wetan “Tanginas” Waste Bank successfully distributed the proceeds of waste savings to its members on Friday 13/92/2026.

Chairperson of the “Tangnas” Waste Bank, Mrs. Tini Seri Wahuni S.Pd., said that the total savings disbursed reached IDR 8,497,030 million. These savings come from the sale of inorganic waste (paper, plastic bottles, metal) collected by residents over the last five months.

“Thank God, this month people’s enthusiasm is high. This distribution really helps residents to meet their needs ahead of the holy month of Ramadan. Active customers can receive hundreds of thousands to one million more rupiah,” said Tini.

This activity also serves as motivation for other residents to sort waste from their homes. Currently, the “Tanginas” Waste Bank has 600 active customers who are committed to protecting the environment while earning additional income. ***
