Yuli Almaidah; By Socializing Drugs and HIV/AIDS, We Can Know More About Their Impact

KOLAKA, WN—After attending a socialization event on the prevention of drug abuse and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) which was held in the SMKN 1 Baula hall on (16/12/2025).

One of the students, Yuli Almaidah, class 12 majoring in Audio Video Engineering (TAV), who was met by journalists, was asked for his response regarding the event which was held by the company PT Vale IGP Pomalaa. Yuli, accompanied by his colleagues, revealed that with the socialization of drugs and HIV/AIDS, he was grateful to be able to understand more clearly the impact of the dangers of drugs and HIV/AIDS.

“We are thankful and grateful for the outreach activities to enable us to know more about the dangers of drugs and HIV/AIDS,” said Yuli accompanied by his colleagues.

He said that this socialization delivered by the presenter had provided insight and knowledge that was very useful for us as the younger generation, especially in understanding the negative impacts of drugs and how HIV/AIDS is transmitted and prevented.

“We realize that as a young generation it is important to look after our relationships, health and future. This socialization also opens up our mindset to be braver in saying no to drugs and avoiding risky behavior that can harm ourselves or others,” he said.

He said that he and his colleagues hoped that PT Vale would ensure that outreach activities like this could be sustainable, so that more and more students could understand the dangers of drugs and HIV/AIDS.

“On behalf of my class 12 colleagues majoring in TAV, I would like to thank the Vale company, resource persons and the principal and teachers of SMKN 1 Baula for carrying out this activity in the school hall. We hope that this activity will have a big positive impact on the students of SMKN 1 Baula,” he said. (**)
